What are the benefits of home care?

We believe that the individual’s comfort and confidence should be considered equally to convenience when thinking about care for a loved one, and the vast majority of people (71 and 82% in recent studies) said they would prefer to receive care at home, rather than a care facility such as a nursing home. Clients who remain at home often feel more relaxed and comfortable, which improves their wellbeing and development.

Is care at home right for my family?

We understand that it can be a daunting and difficult time for friends and family when a loved one requires care and support, particularly if you haven’t been through it before. Many families think that their only option is to place their loved one in a residential care facility, despite being reluctant to do so. However, care at home means your life and the life of your loved one remains as normal as possible, avoiding issues such as visitation times.

Can I get funding for care?

As each case is unique, we are unable to say at this stage whether you will qualify for funding support, but we will be happy to discuss this further with you when we have a better understanding of your requirements. Alternatively, you might find the following websites useful;

How much do Support Carers’ services cost?

As each client has individual needs and requirements, we produce a specific plan based on these needs, and prices are established accordingly to ensure you are paying a fair price for the service you require.

Is care at home right for my loved one?

We believe that many people benefit from remaining in a familiar environment filled with memories and possessions that bring comfort and confidence. Whether your loved one requires end-of-life care and wishes to be in a place of fondness and warmth, or has developing dementia that might cause alarm if they are moved to a new unknown place, care at home usually brings many benefits.

At this difficult and distressing time, we know that decisions about care can be a daunting, emotional, even frustrating thing to consider. If you believe that your loved one needs help, support or care without the need to remove them from their home to place them into a care facility, please feel free to discuss this further with us.

What if my care package needs to change, or I would like to change it?

Our care plan is tailored to your requirements, and this is open to be amended or changed accordingly. We carry out regular reviews to identify any changes that need to be made, and we work with families and loved ones to develop the most effective structure and service for the client.

Is care at home more expensive?

Usually, care at home is less expensive than care received in a residential care facility. This is because a residential home will need to factor in costs, such as property and building costs, maintenance costs, cleaning, and food, on top of the staffing costs, whereas those costs are typically excluded from home care pricing.
